For example, in the antique quilt shown above
(left), the
red fabric had deteriorated drastically. The quilt was in good
condition
otherwise, and had beautiful hand quilting. We carefully matched
and replaced the red fabric (above right). Our expert seamstress
appliquéd each flower petal by hand. This prized
possession
should now enjoy many more decades of renewed life.

In this example, the black fabric had
deteriorated.
As in the flower quilt, we matched and repaired the black fabric.
This quilt is once again able to be used and enjoyed.

| Upon arrival at our quilt
shop, every item is logged in, photographed,
and documented with all the information that has been gathered. Each
piece
is carefully monitored as it goes through the examination and
assessment
process to ensure safeguarding and accountability. When the item is
assigned
for repair, detailed records are carefully maintained to monitor every
movement of the item. |

replacement fabrics on hand. Once
the decision
has been made to proceed with the repair, our fabric specialist works
closely
with the repair specialist to ensure the proper fabrics are selected
before
any quilting is performed. |
